BLOG : THE STORY OF BOLLYWOOD TRAILS
Behind every story where there is a Bollywood Twist.
A family like the one shown in every Barjaatiya film, super happy and super loving. A life simple, beautiful and going, just like Wake Up Sid! Soon took a turn from the usual plot line to a journey yet to be made into a Bollywood saga. A journey of independence from the ties never thought of and a story of passion, which helped me realise my true potential and direct my heart to BOLLYWOOD TRAILS.
Hi and welcome to my world where everything is a product of cinephilia. Bollywood Trails is a place for every Bollywood buff in the UK to make the most of their London story in the way they always wished to: the Bollywood way.
But Before bringing you some Bollywoodly British insights, here is a little flashback to the story behind Bollywood Trails. After all, behind every success story there is a story.
Bollywood had always been more than just a source of entertainment. It became my comfort zone when the world decided to look down upon me. It taught me how one life can be coloured in any story we like. It was also a friend who gave me the best advice and ended up bringing a smile on my face. But above all, Bollywood became my strength and motivation miles away in an all new world I decided to step into.
Shifting to a new place and starting a new chapter is a big step and a scary one too. No matter how much you plan for it, it is meant to have a bumpy beginning. The same happened with me. Being the first ever time away from my family, there was not one day I didn’t cry for my family and home. Even though I was sure I didn’t want to leave and go back, something just felt missing in this place. That’s when yet again, Bollywood came to my rescue. I never felt so close to it. That’s when a paper studied in undergrad “Bollywood and Nostalgia by … made more sense than ever before. Plus being a part of a course that pushed us all to follow our passion; Bollywood being mine became a part of every project I took up.
So Bollywood trails started off as an idea of a bollywood themed walking tour of London, which included more than just revisiting the iconic film locations but was more about reliving the filmy magic. On understanding the background and the market available, I discovered how strongly Bollywood was a part of the lives of people in the UK. Bollywood dance workshops, Bollywood adaptations, themed parties and what not, you name it it was there. It is as if Bollywood is in the air. Just like air cannot be contained, the situation of Bollywood activities happening in the UK too appeared to be the same. A lot happening but no consolidated effort to grow Bollywood as a whole into a stronger entity.
This is how Bollywood trails grew as a platform that brings together the big-small Bollywood activities happening in the UK and connects it better with its market.
So brace yourself for some Bollywood action beyond the cinema in the heart of UK.
